    The Totally DIY Show proved to be an excellent platform for Plasti-kote, the consumer's number one spray paint choice, to launch its retailer initiatives for 2010. Plasti-kote launched two new products at the Show, showcased new merchandising solutions and unveiled its comprehensive promotional programme for 2010.

  • Retailers seek out the 'Show Stoppers'!

    Eco-Ezee, Faithfull, Holdfast Fixings, Luxform, Trollull and Yale were the six exhibitors who picked up Gold 'Show Stopper' awards at this week's Totally DIY show at the NEC in Birmingham. Eco-Ezee took gold in the decorating products category with its range of recycled and recyclable paint brushes and trays.

  • Mary Queen of Shops visits Totally Tools

    The production team behind the popular BBC Series 'Mary Queen of Shops' visited Totally DIY this week with Tony Leach and Jane Curtis, owner and store assistant respectively at Lightwater Homecare, a diy and general store based in Lightwater, Surrey. The store is taking part in the third series of 'Mary Queen of Shops', which will be aired on the BBC later this year, and neither Tony nor Jane had ever visited a diy trade exhibition before.

  • Palace Chemicals fly high to beat the paint stripper ban

    The EU ban on traditional methylene chloride paint strippers comes into force in December 2010, effectively removing almost 90% of the established volume for chemical paint removers from the UK DIY market. In response, Palace Chemicals has rebranded two of its products previously offered to the professional market under the Langlow Peel Away name, in order to offer tried and tested alternatives at a time when there will be a genuine demand to fill a huge gap left in the market.
