Palace Chemicals fly high to beat the paint stripper ban

Wednesday, February 03, 2010

The EU ban on traditional methylene chloride paint strippers comes into force in December 2010, effectively removing almost 90% of the established volume for chemical paint removers from the UK DIY market.

In response, Palace Chemicals has rebranded two of its products previously offered to the professional market
under the Langlow Peel Away name, in order to offer tried and tested alternatives at a time when there will be a genuine demand to fill a huge gap left in the market.

LANGLOW STRIP AWAY
and LANGLOW STRIP AWAY LV both offer the same high performance paint stripping properties as their professional use only predecessors, but under the STRIP AWAY brand are presented in more eye-catching packaging designed to appeal to the broader DIY use market.

In addition, Palace has also continued to develop its extensive tiling products range with the introduction of the SHOWER-TIGHT waterproof tanking system, a protective membrane that is installed prior to fixing tiles in showers and wet-room areas. SHOWER-TIGHT protects water sensitive substrates from moisture ingress and the potential long-term damaging effects this can have on the tiled structure and its surrounding facilities.

These two distinct product categories further enhance Palace Chemicals' reputation for offering the DIY market one of the most wide-ranging portfolios of DIY, building & construction products available from a single UK based manufacturing source.

The Palace Chemicals stand at Totally DIY - F40 - will also feature a fully interactive flight simulator offering visitors the chance to set a score which can win them a holiday for two to the value of £1500.

Clearly the Palace team are ready for 'take off' in their quest to ensure that all visitors to their stand will walk away with something to remember them by!
