As the 2010 Totally Shows came to a close today
(Tuesday, February 9th) organiser Brintex confirmed it
had received universal support from exhibitors for the show's new
home at the NEC in Birmingham.
"Feedback from our exhibitors, old and new, has been
totally positive for this year's show. Our exhibitors have
benefited from increased footfall and some great crossover sales
from visitors to the Spring Fair," said James Murray, Brintex
exhibition director.
Everbuild Building Products, which followed the show from
London's Earls Court to Birmingham, was pleased with the number of
new leads the team has collected.
"The move certainly seems to have breathed new life into the
show," commented Helen Kirby, Everbuild's marketing manager. "We've
invested a lot this year in raising the profile of the Everbuild
brand and it's paid off, with potential customers coming to find
us, and plenty of passing traffic."
The show also delivered for David Hibbert, joint managing
director of Stax Trade Centres; a company which re-joined the
Totally DIY line-up on the back of its move to Birmingham.
"The show has been absolutely phenomenal," said David.
"This has certainly been our most successful show in recent years
and visitor numbers plus the quality of contacts, and the amount of
orders taken has been very good!"
First time exhibitor Eco-Ezee, which picked up a Gold 'Show
Stopper' Award for its new painters range of brushes, tray and
kettles, all made entirely of recycled materials, was also thrilled
by visitor's reactions to its products.
"Our Best New Product Award, and inclusion in the show's New
Product Piazza has helped drive plenty of people to our stand,"
commented Andy Barnwell of Eco Ezee, which is a family-owned and
run business. "The interest from international buyers was an
unexpected bonus - we've had buyers in from Ireland, France, Spain,
Germany, Dubai and Scandinavia, but most importantly our products
have been recognised by all the key UK decorating companies, and
drawn the eye of plenty of the trade press!"
James commented, "Based on the excellent response we've had from
exhibitors, plus comments from visiting suppliers, we have found a
great platform for the national trade show that this
industry deserves."
Next year's Totally Shows will take place on 6, 7 and 8 February
2011 and will run in Hall 11.
